Gerudo Tg (With no mask! :D)

In the sandy wasteland of the Naboo Desert a voice rises above the constantly blowing wind saying, "I've always wanted to say this, fire in the hole!!!" A loud explosion shakes the semi-solid earth and rockets small pieces of rock and lots of sand back toward the man standing well away from the blast. It only took a few seconds for the smoke and dust to clear revealing a door way leading deep below the desert sands. The blackness of the temple entrance was no deterrent to Marcus Colt, a small time treasure hunter who had a big lead on a possible cache of treasure inside the temple. Marcus was of average height with a solid build due to his efforts of treasure hunting, he had short brown hair and the beginnings of a beard due to be in the desert for four days. He was wearing tan colored clothes and had a scarf and a small pair of clear goggles to keep as much sand as possible out of his eyes and mouth.

Marcus had been willing to obtain illegal C4 explosives to get in the temple and a bit of darkness wasn't about stop him, grabbing a powerful flashlight and his trusty handgun in case he should run into the any danger  he boldly stepped into the darkness to continue his hunt. With the flashlight beam causing the shadows to dance back and forth Marcus began to walk down the steps toward a large chamber. When Marcus saw the chamber and realized just how big it was he smiled and began to laugh happily. "I'm going to strike it big here, I can feel it!" Marcus said triumphantly, his voice echoing off the stone walls.

The only thing that was immediately apparent was the large metal door blocking the only way forward. Marcus strode forward with purpose and began to carefully exam the door. He was out of C4 having used his small supply to break the large boulder at the entrance. "They wouldn't make a door without a way to open it…" Marcus muttered to himself in thought. He began to shine the beam around looking for a switch or mechanism to open the door with but instead found several symbols coating a square of stone beside one of the large double doors. Marcus being versed in ancient languages immediately recognized the symbols as a sort of hybrid to Babylonian text.

"The path is short our…" Marcus paused trying to remember the next few markings, "our sacred jewel is in our gaze. Huh, an ancient text that's short, sweet and to the point. That has to be a clue on how to get past the door, I wonder…" Marcus trailed off as he began to pace around the room looking around for a jewel or something that they could be the "gaze." It didn't take Marcus long to see that there were no jewels lying around, so that left the "gaze."

Marcus knew the treasure was in their gaze, so whatever was watching the treasure would be looking straight toward the locked door. Marcus redirected the flashlight beam upward over the stairs he had entered and saw a stone carving of an eye. "That's gotta be it, but how do activate it…" Looking around the carving Marcus saw several notches around the eye and after a minute of consideration he figured it out. The notches were where arrows had been shot from a bow toward the eye. Wasting no time Marcus pulled out his gun and took aim. He pulled the trigger once and the bullet hit the eye dead center. After a brief second the sound of stone grinding against metal sound through out the chamber. Marcus turned toward the metal door and saw it slowly open revealing an empty room with nothing but sand.

Marcus ran into the room and was about to despair when he saw another script of symbols. Hoping with all his might that the treasure was not yet lost he began to translate. The jewel that we watch over shall be in a haze, cast light and continue deeper into the maze. After reading the script Marcus frowned and said, "that's the ancients I know, always talking in rhymes. Why can't they ever say here's the treasure, spend it wisely?" Marcus sighed slightly and continued, "alright I have to cast light." Looking around Marcus saw nothing but sand. Walking around the room Marcus still seeing nothing, began to dig into the small sand mounds. To dig with both hands Marcus placed his flashlight standing up and began to dig. Marcus was digging ferociously and in his hurry to move forward knocked the flashlight over. It bounced once and went out, enveloping the chamber in darkness.

Swearing, Marcus began to fumble around for the flashlight  when a small light began to emanate from the script of  writing. It didn't give Marcus enough light to see his flashlight with but he realized this was the light to eliminate the haze with. Stumbling toward the glow Marcus was able to see the that it was a small jewel below the script, Marcus pushed the jewel without hesitation and the door began to open. "Alright gottta be close…" Marcus began to enter the new room without a flashlight, but wasn't worried as the room was lit by a narrow column of sunlight. Other than that though the room was empty like the others except for of course another script this time with a large glass sphere above it.

Marcus was translating quickly now, learning that the tablet said, the end is in sight. Once more the light shall be your guide. "The light…" Marcus turned back toward the column of sunlight and easily solved this puzzle, the key was to reflect light into the glass sphere. But the problem was that Marcus had no mirror to reflect the light, he had a gun, his clothes and a few miscellaneous items but nothing that could use the light except for the flashlight that he had dropped.

Marcus smiled when he realized he could easily cheat the security in this room. He ran back and after a few minutes of pawing around the sandy floor reclaimed his flashlight. Marcus was able to make his way back to the sun lit room and turned on his flashlight. Marcus muttered a prayer hoping his tactic would work and he shone the beam into the glass. It took it a few seconds to work, almost like whatever mechanism activated the door was trying to decide if the artificial light was good enough, but finally the door opened with a loud groaning like sound. As the door opened the stone that had the script turned like a revolving door and revealed a new tablet with more writing. Marcus began to translate, the jewel is equal to a rose in beauty and thorn. The curse you will scorn, turn back and you will not mourn. "Oh, great. So I touch anything and I'm cursed forever. Charming. Good thing curses aren't real." Marcus said, chuckling as he began to walk down to newly revealed stairs to what he hoped was a room full of treasure.

Marcus was now several hundred feet below the shifting sands, he had gone at least four stories down the spiraling staircase. As he walked downward he began to notice carvings on the walls, pictures of archers, horses, many other symbols dotted the walls but Marcus paid little notice and continued to his goal. A few more circles down the staircase ended and a hallway began. At the end of it Marcus could see something glinting, Marcus ran toward it and entered a room the same size as the last one, this one however did not have sand. Instead it filled with gold coins, jewels, pottery, necklaces, chests, boxes and in the center of it all, on a pedestal sat a gleaming ruby as large as his fist. Marcus gasped with stunned silence, he was rich. "Yes! I've found it!" Marcus shouted as he ran toward a pile of gold coins. He happily jumped on picking up the coins and letting them fall, he moved onto the chests finding even more gold and treasure.

Marcus was easily one of the happiest men in the world at that moment, he was rich beyond his wildest imagination. He could pay back what he owed and still have enough for a house in the Bahamas. Images of him sipping a beer on a beach leaped into his mind. After the joy began to lessen Marcus started to take stock of the most valuable items starting with the ruby in the center of the room. Before Marcus picked it up he paused, it was the biggest jewel in the room. It had to be the "cursed" treasure. This only made him pause for a moment or two before he picked it up saying, "this thing is huge! It's got to be worth a ton!" Marcus said giddily. As Marcus held the stone in his hands he began to feel lethargic.

"Gonna…be… Huh?" Marcus said sleepily as he continued to hold the stone, he snapped out of it though and dropped the stone. It landed with a small ping, unscathed leaving Marcus dazed. He shook his head and looked at the ruby wondering what had happened. He didn't get to ponder as the stone began to glow menacingly.

"Uh-oh, that can't be good." Marcus was about to run, he had every single intention of abandoning the treasure completely but the stone stopped him. The glow from it was hypnotic, after just a second of looking at it Marcus was staring transfixed at the stone. The stone then reacted more violently releasing a bolt of light that hit Marcus in the chest, knocking him onto the gold covered ground. Marcus felt the pain from the fall but didn't react to it. The bolt of light faded, disappearing into him beginning to change him. He was powerless under the influence and just stood there as his hair changed to a bright red and grew extremely long, going past shoulder to his waist. Marcus didn't notice though, he was just staring at the red glow, a malicious spell veiled in a warm and inviting light.

As his hair grew Marcus's stature began change. Going from his tall 6'0 he shrunk to 5'4, at the same the hair on his face fell out along with the hair on his arms and legs. Marcus blinked when he felt himself suddenly lose weight, becoming slim and more agile looking. There was a painful cracking as his hips   expanded giving him a curved waist, Marcus felt his butt expand but failed to react as the bones shifted in his face. The jaw line softened and became softer and more feminine as his skin began to darken somewhat. His skin went from sun burnt red to light brown, becoming more suited to the climate. Marcus continued to stare at the jewel's now pulsing light as he felt a tingling in his chest, Marcus breathed deeply as he felt two lumps form and grow, quickly becoming two breasts. Marcus could nothing while under the effects of the stone as he felt a distant sensation below his waist and within a few seconds Marcus was no longer a he.

The stone wasn't done yet, still keeping it's hold over Marcus it changed her clothes into a something similar to a desert dancer's outfit, with poofy red pants with a red top, leaving her thin mid section exposed. Her shoes disappeared completely, leaving her barefoot for a moment. New shoes instantly formed from nothing becoming simple fabric shoes that curled upward near the toes. Her body and outfit fully changed the stone shot forward as her hair floated upward almost as if she had static electricity flowing through her body. Her hair formed a ponytail the stone using it's self as a band to hold it and she began to blink.

As the effects began to wear off new memories and feelings began to assert themselves over what used to be Marcus. The red haired girl blinked a few times and stood up, she remembered everything. Her name is Saiyu, she's a gerudo warrior, she put herself into her ruby so that she could live again one day, she remembered and knew everything Marcus did as she had effectively absorbed him. Thanks to this Saiyu knew that the Gerudo's, her people, had faded away thousands of years ago, by the year 2011 Saiyu was almost certainly the last one. Once again she had Marcus's memories, she knew that she was inside a hideout that the Gerudo's had used to store treasure and that she could leave using the car near the entrance to leave the desert. Saiyu began to walk slowly out of the room as she sorted through Marcus's memories, the world was very different from what she had known, She smiled a malicious grin and chuckled, saying quietly to herself, "I can't do much without my sisters, I'll have to recruit some new members. I can easily use the jewel for that though." Saiyu reached the stairs and began to make her way out of the ruins to begin a new tribe of Gerudo's.
Well this will be one of my last posts. I would rather have gone out with a bang but I'll be humble. In general I had fun with this and I feel like I have come a long way with my writing.

As for what's next, I'm writing a book. A story about a werewolf, nothing like twilight or those romantic books (bleh). It tells the true side of the supernatural world, dark and bloody.

Hey, is there any chance you could draw what Saiyu looks like???
